We moved into our home about 10 years ago and started using Whempy's to service and clean our wood burning chimney from year one. The last two years we had them out we must have gotten the lazy guy with hurt feet who doesn't want to climb onto the roof. Several others have mentioned this guy on other review sites. My wife, a person that is considered highly educated and thoughtful by her peers, reported that all he did was vacuum out the firebox. He even had the nerve to complain to her that he didn't want her to call in to the office and claim that he didn't perform a proper cleaning since that apparently is an issue with this company. And he didn't want to go onto the roof to check the cap because his feet apparently hurt. According to her, no brushes or poles entered our home.Every year we were told that our chimney looked just fine and then they sold us a bottle of Creosote cleaner to "keep it nice" they told us. This year we decided to have an inspection done by another company (actually two) and were told that our chimney tiles were devastated and that there had been recent fires in our flu and were close to having a two-story house fire.Now after two inspectons, several estimates and almost 20 thousand dollars later, we have had to have the tiles torn out, masonry work done, a steel liner installed and a stove insert put in instead of the complete firebox rebuild that would have been necessary to make our hearth safe. But this company, Whempys, have been telling us for years that our chimney was in good shape.Need I say more? If you are reading this review, stay away from Whempys at all costs. Your life and your home could be put at risk by using this company. And if you're Whempys, we still have the receipts as does our insurance company who have had to help us out on this one. A lawyer we consulted with laughed at how you thought you were being slick be leaving the year date off of the invoice receipts. It's a good thing that we keep great financial records.I hope this saves another family from having to deal with this like we did and also maybe a home or a life.

Great service! Jared called ahead and showed up on time. Extremely nice and polite. Made sure to inform us what he was doing and also kept the house clean. Good service and good price. We'll use the again.

😄We had another company tell us we needed an $8K chimney replacement. Smelling a rat (or a cat toy in the furnace for those who recognize that ad..) we called Whempy's for a second opinion. Sure enough, no issues with carbon monoxide or anything else. Now, if/when we do need work in the future we'll absolutely be calling Whempy's!!

Whempys Chimney Services did a great job cleaning and servicing our chimney. We will definitely use them for future services. I highly recommend!
